| Birds of Prey at Open Day |
|
All Souls Church in Crompton opened its doors to local residents on Sunday 22nd February 2009 12-4pm for a Community Open Day. The church has been closed for nearly 25 years but when the doors opened a steady flow of people from the community once again came to admire the wonderful architecture and to see the plans for the future vision. Over 400 people flocked to All Souls where visitors were met with falcons, owls and rare birds of prey which entertained the visitors as they met with the All Souls project team. ![]() Architects OMI showcased a hand crafted 3D model showing the plans and outline of proposal, whilst the Insect Circus and a climbing wall entertained outside in the local car park. ![]() The Community Open Day gave an opportunity for residents to have their say on the designs for the church, meet members of the project team and to get more involved in the development of the project. There were also a number of fantastic activities with an opportunity to find out about a new (but old) trade by having a go at some traditional building crafts including lime plastering and stone masonry. ![]() For further information on the open day or about the project download the All Souls Newsletter or contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
